David Kovarik

David Kovarik is an assistant vice president at the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago. He leads teams in conducting consumer compliance, fair lending, and Community Reinvestment Act supervisory events for state member banks headquartered in Michigan, Indiana, and Wisconsin. David has also held roles leading his division’s technology and risk specialists, analytics, quality control, and other teams supporting safety and soundness and compliance supervisory operations. Outside of the Chicago Fed, David has been the chief banking compliance officer at a global financial institution and the head of fair and responsible banking at a regional financial institution. He has an M.B.A. from the University of Massachusetts Amherst Isenberg School of Management and a bachelor’s degree in business administration and marketing from Carthage College. He earned a diploma from the Stonier Graduate School of Banking in partnership with the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School, the American Bankers Association’s Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager designation, and Saint Louis University’s Corporate Ethics and Compliance Management certificate.
